Ski Apache Zipline
Wednesday, August 16th, 2017 at 12:35 pm

One of the longest ziplines in the world is right here in New Mexico – living up to that hype and then some. In the towering Sierra Blanca Mountain Range, Ski Apache resort doubles as one of the best ski destinations in the state and as the home of the Ski Apache Wind Rider Ziptour. With three lines, one of which being the third longest zipline in the world at a mile long, this is an adrenaline junkies dream. On that mile-long line, riders can get up to 70mph without any breaking! That said, it’s just as easy to come to a full stop or slow way down if you’re trying to spend as much time as possible with the birds. If it’s not the impressive speed or distance that attracts you, the views certainly should. Open year round, the Ziptour offers some of the most spectacular perspectives in the entire southwest – be it over rich green forests and meadows in the summertime or the white wonderland that comes in the winter. A destination high in the Sierra Blanca wilderness complete with kind and honest people, from top to bottom this is one of the best experiences to be had in New Mexico.
