Every year, on the Thursday before the Lobos Football vs NMSU Aggies game, students gather on Johnson Field to burn a 25-ft. tall Aggie. Rated as one of Sports Illustrated’s “102 Things You Have To Do Before You Graduate” college events, join more than 3,000 students at this year’s burn! Lobo Spirit volunteers spend weeks constructing the huge effigy and together with musical performances by the Spirit Marching Band, the Football team and local DJ’s – it’s one of the largest annual events on campus. Come kick it this Thursday Sept. 7 at 8 p.m. on Johnson Field to get hyped for this year’s game! Kickoff for the actual game is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 9 at 6 p.m. Students getting tickets free with their UNM ID!
