ASUNM Southwest Film Center

The Associated Students of The University of New Mexico (ASUNM) Southwest Film Center is conveniently located on campus on the bottom floor of the Student Union Building. This is the best movie theater on campus because it plays films once a week and is free to all, including students and community members.

As you walk down the hallway in the SUB, you will arrive at the ticket booth window, with an up-to-date schedule of the free movie listings. This is where you will collect your ticket to get into the movie theater. As you head inside the door, you enter the dimly lit theater. Next to the door, you can request a free container of popcorn to enjoy during the movie. As you progress farther into the movie theater, there are so many seats to choose from, but the seats between the middle row and the final row give the best view. The seats are softly padded and foldable. As the movie begins, the lights dim around you and the room falls into darkness.
